In the last 5 years we have delivered presentations and/ or workshops in places including:
The content is discussed in advance so that all participants leave knowing how movement programmes can improve a child’s chances in the classroom and in general daily functioning. You learn, for example, why your students may prefer to ‘W’ sit, and why asking them to sit as you would wish may affect the ability to learn effectively.
These programmes may assist as part of a planned intervention when there are concerns about:
- Learning delays/ difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia
- Literacy skills
- Concentration and focus
- Fine and gross motor skills

Move to Learn
On-site training is available using all 3 programmes which are well-established and respected and on-line training is in development.
Move to Learn can be used in Early Years settings onwards and I have trained kindergartens such as Bebegarten in Hong Kong. It can also be effective with older groups / classes of children.
Move to Learn on-site training uses the Ten Gems for the Brain book as its core manual, supplemented with a comprehensive set of training notes and practical sessions.
How much does training cost?
This depends on the location and extent of training required.
Fees for Move to Learn are dependent on a number of factors, but an indicative fee of £685 will provide a full day in-service, with a maximum of 15 participants, for a school-based intervention. These fees are current for 2015. See below for individual delegate rates.
Introductory sessions can also be arranged.
What does training qualify me to do?
It enables you to use the programmes in your own school setting. it does not qualify you to train others or to work 1:1 with children in a diagnostic / therapeutic context.
Do you run training for small groups or individuals?
Training can be held at independent centres for individuals from schools and others to attend. I advise you to contact me for further details, or if you would like to organise a training day in your area.
What does a typical Move to Learn training day cover?
If I want to train further, are there options?
Yes there are, and these are explained in the training.
